Where do you want to be by the end of 2018?

Lara Lain larasstory Surf Bondi Beach

Not to shake you up or anything but 2018 is almost complete! Just over two months to go πŸ˜…

How has this year been for you?

What are you glad to leave behind as a lesson?

What have you achieved that you are really proud of?

And what could you do over the next 10 weeks to make 2018 end on a high? πŸ™Œ

My EOY goals

Passion project: I am super excited to close off 2018 with lots more surfing under my belt! πŸ„β€β™€οΈ

Fitness: Surfing is a truly amazing full-body (and mind!) workout.

On top of that I will keep up with weekly Personal Training, gym sessions and running 4 /5 times a week too.

Fitness wise I’m on track for my fittest year yet! It feels good to write that – I’ve been working hard, consistently since April.

Writing: I want to write more GOOD STUFF.

While I could post all sorts of workings from my inner-mind, my priorities for writing now go beyond my style of my younger years (where I would just write whatever I felt like on that given day)

As we look forward; I wish for my writing to always hold a positive message, a nugget of inspiration or something worth thinking about.

I have recently realised (more than ever) how much I wish to live as an inspirational, kind spirited person.

I want to always drive others to have a better day – I want to constantly spread positivity in any way possible! πŸ‘

Work: In work I pride myself on pushing people to “be their best” and I always hire people feeling excited in the knowledge that joining me means they will get to learn so much … Even if they only work with me for a short time they will leave me a more agile marketer, armed with knowledge and the right attitude to go onto great things.

I am at a point in my career where I know I have so much to give, both technically and personally.

I am focusing on making my career, self-development and marketing skill-set sky-rocket before the year is out πŸš€

Men: I am still single and while others are often shocked to hear “it’s been 7 years” (just this week I was told “that’s too long to be single”), I’m actually fine with it …

I am giving so much of my life 110% and truly LIVING to the fullest.

I don’t allow myself any worry time about where “he” is.

The man, the one has become a part of the puzzle I will happily leave up to fate to handle 🀩

Doing good: I am becoming increasingly aware of how important it is to do good for others.

I am “always there” for anyone that needs a hug, a kind word or advice in a sticky situation.

On the other side of the coin, I too am turning to my family and friends daily for guidance and help when deciding on the “right thing” to do.

It is so important to give support to each other, whether it be in a personal or professional environment – we need to be kind and lift each other at all given opportunities 🀝

Look at your “bigger picture” and the people around you – what can you do over the next 10 weeks to make their world a better place?

When was the last time you did charity work or picked a bit of litter up off the street?

How much plastic are you using on a day-to-day basis? When was the last time you gave someone a compliment or did something for someone just because?

I’ve asked a lot of questions in this post and I hope at least one of them resonates with you.

I hope you take action and go out and do some good for yourself, the people around you and essentially your world 🌎

Perhaps you see the end of 2018 as a difficult couple of months ahead – if you can find a way to contribute to those around you more it will lighten your load somewhat.

Take heat off yourself and put more focus and energy onto others and onto your planet.

Here’s hoping you have a great end to 2018! It ain’t over yet!

Part of me feels like it’s just getting started … πŸ„β€β™€οΈ
