A few weeks back I had a mental wobble because my life was feeling SO GOOD I all of a sudden became randomly ”worried” it was going to change.
Such a silly train of thought!
Although the feeling (of fear!) didn’t float away overnight I was frustrated with myself for even contemplating thinking that way – literally the most ridiculous waste of time 🤦♀️
99% of me knows full-well that when the going is good you ride that wave like it’s going out of fashion! (🙋♀️ I been riding the good times wave all my life!).
It was the 1% in my ear that was casting a fleeting shadow over all the goodness.
The absurd 1%.
I had my dream home, I was surrounded by magic people, work was good, I was fit and feeling the best ever – was it all going to change overnight?
Do you think Beyonce and Jay Z sit around worrying that their life is so good it might slip away while they sleep?! 🤪
I highly doubt it – who really has time for negative thoughts when life is amazing right?!
I realised I was just feeling overwhelmed with everything because I felt I really had everything I could dream of.
Life felt better than it had since I could remember.
… then I gave myself a break; maybe it was ok to feel weird … because really I only felt thrown because I appreciate everything so much!
As the silly dust cleared … (I only felt like this for short periods of time, it wasn’t dragging me down hugely or anything – it was fleeting moments of overwhelm then it would pass)
… I quickly knew I needed to lift my attitude; drop any links to a negative vibe (yep, the 1% of my mind had to go! 👋).
I needed to accept and be grateful that everything IS AMAZING and make the most of it.
You will never be as young as you are today and your life might never be as good as it is right now this second – so make the most of every moment! ✨
Aside from giving myself a break – because I knew the worry was coming from a ”good place” I sought to raise myself up and keep myself high by doing more of this;
- Watching YouTube motivational speakers and life coaches
- Writing down daily affirmations – writing out lines and lines of what I want
- Drawing ‘mood boards’ – sketching pictures of what I want
- Listing all the things I am grateful for; before I fall asleep
- Listing all the things I am grateful for; when I wake up
- Going to the beach at any given opportunity and literally talking to myself (yes really) while again sharing what I am grateful/ thankful for
The more you put out what you want the more it will happen.
If you give time to worry, fear, doubt you are only making those things bigger than they need to be 🙅♀️
Writing things down and saying things out loud really gives backbone to your thoughts.
Affirmations might sound silly to you but honestly – if you have never tried it you are missing out. Believe me!!
Get yourself a fresh new book and a nice pen and keep it by your bed / in your bag.
No one else needs to ever see your book or your biggest dreams and there is nothing to be ashamed of anyways!
Write it down every day, say it out loud every day.
It’s scientifically proven (yes really!) that writing things down gives power to your wishes.
No bad can come from putting what you desire, are grateful and thankful for out in the world.
A few days ago I woke up in a super-positive frame of mind, I had gone to bed with the right mindset and woke up feeling amazing inside and out.
I knew that day was going to be great!
It was just a ‘normal’ day with nothing major on the agenda – in the gym that night I did a bigger box jump than ever before (I genuinely never thought I would get that high!).
It was one my proudest/happiest moments in my training so far – see video below for evidence of my joy and surprise 🙌
I took it as a sign – I was positive AF that day and doing that box jump out of the blue confirmed I was on the right vibe.
If you’ve read this and don’t get me – open your mind; just try what I have mentioned, you will be amazed at how good you will feel.
You have nothing to lose and so much positivity to gain!
Thank you for reading! May your wishes come true ✨
