Here’s just a few of my fave ~Bondi Summer~ pics, followed by a little bit of why today is EXCITING!
Today, 21st June, is Winter Solstice … the shortest day of the year for us Down Under!
HOORAY HOORAH YIPPEEEEE!
It’s the shortest day (with the fewest hours of daylight) and from here on out the days get longer …
Summer is officially on her sweet way!
Sydney weather dropped at the beginning of June and frightened the b’jaysus outta me “I haven’t got a heater yet!”, “I need winter clothes”, “I need a puppy to keep me warm, immediately!” etc etc ..
But since then it’s picked back up again and last night, when I was running at 930pm, it was 14 degrees.
… So if the ol’ weather man upstairs can keep it how it’s been these last couple of weeks then I’m very happy to see out the next six weeks as is.
This is the “middle of Winter” right now – us Sydneysiders have been very lucky indeed so far.
Here’s to summer! More sun-drenched moments like above and creating many memories worth remembering.
Summer in Sydney is incomparable! I love Bondi living all year round but summer is next level.
Beachside life when it’s sunny is super special!
Can’t wait for sunrise runs before work and long evenings on the Bondi Beach grass after …
Oh and of course, the parties, the laughs, the boat parties, the sunkist fun and people I’ll be spending it with ☺
BRING IT ALL ON!
The countdown starts here!
