Running Sydney’s ”City to Surf” 2018 | August 2018

*Written in August 2016, Sydney.

This week has been CRAZY in all the best ways! I started my job at MODE. and by Thursday I felt completely settled. It’s a great feeling – I just know I am meant to be there. The vibe between me and the team is something special!
Friday we secured a partnership to cover the marketing for Sydney’s Cafe Del Mar. I cannot express how excited I am about this. I almost ran out of the word “excited” as we celebrated Friday night. Never stop chasing your dreams!

It’s Sunday morning for me as I type this, I am on the biggest high – I have just completed the City2Surf run, it’s 14k from Sydney city to the finish line at my home in Bondi.

After partying until sunrise Saturday morning to celebrate the fab week at work I was worried I might have stuffed my chances of doing well – turns out a little party never hurt nobody! – I finished it comfortably in 1 hr 30 mins.

I also bumped into a friend I had met while traveling – Lloyd completed way faster than me! He was one of the quickest men out there. Congrats Lloyd!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; running is one of the best things you can do with your body. You just have to crack on and have a go and fitness follows in no time. Now I’m off to celebrate in Bondi with 80,000 others who took part. Woo!

If this week is a mark for the future of my life here in Sydney I really couldn’t be more grateful or happier – I wouldn’t change a thing.
